My Sweet Little Flygon

Charley had never led an interesting life by most standards. He was an orphan. Never had any clue to who his parents were and didn’t really care. After all, they had abandoned him. He spent half of his childhood in the orphanage and the other half working odd jobs around the city. He was trying to save up for his greatest dream, to be a pokemon trainer. Living secluded from most of the League  activities, Charley learned about them through books and the rare encounter with one on the outskirts of Olivine City. IT was the focus of his young life to be a trainer, and he worked at it with great determination. By the time he was fifteen, he had saved up enough money, to pay for his way to New Bark Town and the registration fee. He didn’t have to think long before he picked out his starter. A Trapinch.  Yes they were native to Hoenn, but the lab had a dew on hand. It was a small friendly little female Trapinch that was very  affectionate. The first thing she did was nuzzle his hand. “I think I’ll call you... Fang. It sounds like a good name for someone whose gonna be a dragon. Don’t ya think?” The Trapinch looked up to him and smiled. “Tra!”

It was two years later. Charley had become quite a success. Travelling all over the Johto, he caught strong, and friendly, pokemon. There was a Murkrow he caught in a forest. A Nidoqueen that he had evolved from a nidorina. A Xatu, by far the smartest of Charley’s pokemon. A marill that had wandered into his camp one night. An Arcanine that always stayed up late at night guarding the camp despite the fact that no one had ever asked him to. And, of course, Fang. She had evolved into a Flygon, and was about as tall as Charley when she stood on her hind legs. She was always by Charley’s side whenever she could be. Tonight, Charley and the team where sitting down at a Pokemon center.

“All right Seven badges! All I have to do now is beat Clair and I can move into the league!” He handed over his pokeballs to the resident Nurse Joy, except for Fang, as she refused to leave Charley’s side, as per usual. “Is there a room available tonight, or do I hafta crash on one of the center benches?”

“We have an opening. Room sixteen is open. Down the hall and to the left. We’ll call you when your pokemon are ready.”

Charley and Fang walked down the fall into his room. “Great job at the gym today fang” He said as he pat Fang on the head, “I Thought it was lost when I was down to you, but ya came through against that Delibird. You really are getting strong.”  Flygon smiled. “Fly Flygon gon ly Fly.” The fact that he could not understand his pokemon drove Charley nuts.  They were as smart as he was and had been a great force in developing his tactics for most of his big battles. “What I wouldn’t give to understand the word that come out of your mouth.”

“Room 16, your pokemon are ready.” Charley got up “I’ll be back in a sec Fang.” Fang got up on the bed and curled up. The fact that he could not understand her wore on her nerves as well. She had something very important to tell him, but could never actually say it. How many times in the past year had she wanted to say, I Love You, and not the normal kind of love a pokemon has for a trainer. Her feelings had developed shortly after she had evolved. Why a pokemon had fallen in love with a human was anyone’s guess, but the fact remained, she was deeply in love with him. It was probably how caring he was to every thing he met. Maybe it was how Charley took his pokemon to see all the sights on the paths and routes they took, making sure they saw nature’s beauty. Maybe it was that they were such good friends that it developed naturally. For whatever reason, Fang spent every night whispering a prayer that she and Charley could be proper mates one day. “If I could at least say something too him, it wouldn’t be so bad.” She said to herself.

Later that night, as Charley was about to get in bed, he was reading through a book of local sights and  a map of the road to Blackthorn. “Hey Fang! check out this ruin on the way. Jirachi Temple. I think we’ll stop there on the way. It says here ‘Local legend speaks that humans change into pokemon.’ Interesting draw. Wonder if anything like that actually exists?” Fang had taken great interest in the temple and walked over to Charley. She peered over his shoulder and stared at the pamphlet before shouting out “Gon!” “Well then we’ll be there in two days.” Flygon got a sudden burst of hope in her heart at the story. “Good night my sweet little Flygon” He said as he pet her all the way down her back. Later that night, after Charley had fallen to sleep, the idea kept buzzing through her mind. “Maybe... Me and him will be mates.”

Another day, another camp. Ah the life of a trainer. They had decided to stop slightly off the road so they wouldn’t be bothered by late night passerbys, if there were any out this far. Fang wanted to speak with one of her team mates. She found him staring into the sun in a small clearing near their tent. “He Xatu, can I ask you something” She asked as  she flew into the clearing behind him.
“Of course my child” He responded.

“My child?! We’re the same age!”

“I know. I just thought it made me sound wise.”

“Your a weirdo. You know that? Anyway, what do you know about Jirachi temple? Is it true that it turns humans into pokemon.”

“That is only half true Fang. A pokemon has the power to change a human in there, but there are a few tests you half to meet before you can get  to the power. Why do you want to know?” He turned his gave to her suspiciously.

“No reason. It just sounded strange. Anyway, thanks for your time.” She took off and flew back to camp and to her... future mate. He was standing there waiting for her. She thought to herself, “Only twenty four hours and I’ll have the best man in the world.” He had the same warm and friendly smile he always had on his face. As she landed, she gave him a hug knocking him off balance. “Hey, ya made it in time for dinner.”

Later that night, Charley was thinking about how fortunate he was to have such great friends with him. Especially his Flygon. She was the most loyal companion anyone could ask for. He knew he had gotten something special when he picked her up. “My life certainly got better for al this.” Which was true. His time at the orphanage was spent friendless and alone. Living in the back alleys of dirty streets hadn’t been fun, but now he was seeing the world with his team. Things couldn’t be any better, unless of course he could find a way to understand his pokemon. He was about to get in his sleeping bag when Fang came up to him and started to nuzzle him while wrapping her wings around him, “Good night my sweet little Flygon.”

In the dead of night while all were asleep, Fang got up from her  place beside Charley. She walked a few yards away from the camp and flew at her top speed to the temple her trainer was going to be at in twenty four hours. It was, well, ruinish. “Man this thing didn’t stand the test of time well.” Indeed it hadn’t. The rock and stone that made up the infrastructure had cracks in it. “Well here goes nothing. Heaven or disappointment awaits.” She walked into the temple. And was greeted by a large open room that was not in want of more writing on the wall. She walked into the center of the room, where she stopped after a bright light appeared from nowhere.

“Everybody up, I wanna get to those ruins early!” Charley was up a little soon for a reason he could not identify. It felt like any other day. It felt like an different day. It felt like a fateful day. All at once. “He was quick to make breakfast. “Come on fang, use your dragon breath, we can have this thing cooked in no time.” A command to which she readily accepted. “Anything for you, my trainer. Today will be a wonderful day for both of us.” It felt like a good day.

They had made it to the ruins, of course the others were in their pokeballs. The better that they aren’t more tired. “Well this place looks... ruinish.” Fang laughed at the comment, having thought the exact same thing the night before. “You’re gonna be a great lover.” She spoke out loud knowing Charley had no clue as to what she said. He was about to let the others out before Fang grabbed him by the arm and pulled him inside. “Hey! What's the rush?” She pulled him into the center of the room.

“This place is big on the inside. The ceiling must be four stories up!” A light came from nowhere and shone all over the room. The scource was a point. No form was there. IT was a singularity of light.

The Point in space spoke. “Is this the one you proved yourself for last night.” Charley was confused to say the least until he heard his partner chime up. “Yes its him.”  He nearly fell over. How could he...

“Charley, prepare yourself. You are about to gain a new life.”

“What do you mean a new life?! How could I understand fang just then?! And what the He,  AH!” Charley felt an intense pressure at the base of his spine Like something was trying to force its way out. As he fell over to the ground, Fang walked over to him and started to lick his cheek. “Don’t worry my sweet Charley, you’ll love what this is going to do to you.” She took her claw and sheared his belt. Making sure his other pokemon where out of reach for the moment. Charley gasped as he felt the skin on his back stretch as his spine lengthened out three feet. All he could do was lie there as he felt his body mutate, every new bone forming. It didn’t hurt, but it was strange.

“You have a nice tail on you Charley, I’m sure everything else will be just as nice.” He felt his new appendage move on its own accord, wagging for some reason... her voice? He pulled his tail in front of him so he could see it. It ws long enough to pull up to his chin. It was a full fledged Flygon Tail. He would of shouted out in terror loud enough for all Johto to hear, but something calmed him, something was in his mind, not allowing him to be scared.

He felt like something was crawling on him and pulled off his shirt. That feeling of near panic came back to him. Scales.   All over his Torso. Green Scales all over his torso. He could feel them forming all over his body, and closed his eyes as they spread over his face. Fang came over and nuzzled his stomach, and Charley relaxed.  Something about her calmed him. Something, but he didn’t know what, nor did he have the time to think about it right now.

Pain shot through the tips of his fingers and toes. He franticly pulled off the shoes he was wearing, and socks. Sharp claws poked through his fingers. Complementing his scales nicely. He thought about how the colors contrasted well, the ivory white and light green. Then he thought how strange it was to think that right now. Fang moved down to his legs and pulled his pants and underwear off, Leaving him naked in except for his new scales,  they still felt foreign.

His nose felt funny. He reached up to grab it, but fang stopped him. “Oh come on, let me watch” He felt his jaw crack and mutilate as it fused with his growing nose. His ears disappeared into his head, but he could still hear clearly. He felt horns start to grow out of the back of his head. His muzzle was formed. His vision was suddenly fuzzy, like he needed classes, but the problem was solved as the pink lenses formed over his eyes. Fang leaned down and nuzzled him on his new nose.  Charley got in a few thoughts before he continued. It felt like he was making out. But he was rubbing noses? He started to nuzzle her back. It felt wonderful. He started to wag his tail.

The transformation came into its final swings as his body shape started to change. His neck lengthened, his Legs shrank, his arms withdrew into his body. His body changed into his new dragon form. One thing was missing though. It came to him as he felt pressure push at his back. He grew his huge wings.

With that the transformation ended.

“What the hell just happened to me.” For Charley, the world had come back into focus, and he could think straight again. He still couldn’t panic. That same calming force was still inside him. “Where’d the light go, how can...

“Calm down Charley. Don’t worry about everything. Just calm down. Everything will be fine.” Fang was speaking to him in a calming voice, trying to soothe him.

“Calm down!!! You just changed me into a Pokemon!! How could you do this? How could you do this?” As he spoke he slowed down. Sounding more sad.

“I’ve wanted this for a long time. for us to be together as mates. Its a dream come true for me. Ever sense I evolved I’ve been in love with you.” She came up closer and started to nuzzle her former trainer again.

He pulled Away

“What are you doing! Get away from me! You just stole my life from me! You cant expect me to just throw myself into your arms after that!!” He was shouting as loud as he could. Then he noticed something that disturbed him greatly.

She was crying.

And he hated to see it.

“Charley. Please come over here and hug me with your wings. I need to know you love me back. We can be with each other now. I need to know we can be mates after all this time together.” The tears were streaming down her cheeks. Charley thought maybe he shouldn’t have yelled so loud.

For every second he saw her crying, he felt like part of him was breaking. It must have had something to do with his recent change, but he couldn’t stand to see her crying. A need to calm here was welling up inside of him, like he needed to see her happy. He ran over and wrapped his wings around her in an attempt to calm her. And she smiled at him. At that moment, he felt true happiness, and it was because Fang was smiling at him. He had never noticed it before, but... her beauty was stunning! Like she was an angel. He started to nuzzle her. In his mind, it was like he was kissing her. He just wanted to express his love for her. It had been in him all along, but it could only be realised if they could actually be with each other.

“Are you okay honey?” He spoke, wanting to see that smile on her forever,

“I am now, My sweet little Flygon” She got up and started petting him all the way down his back.
A trainer that came from a poor backround recieves a Trapinch for his first pokemon. During their travels, the trapinch gets rather close to her trainer, and wants to get closer.
